Testing Web3 in the Wild

The Problem

At puzzl, we've spent years delivering high-quality web and mobile products. But like many tech-forward teams, we saw an opportunity in web3 that couldn't be fully explored through side projects or client work alone.

We wanted a real-world sandbox. Something to sharpen our blockchain skills, experiment with smart contracts in the wild, and crucially build something with a live user base. The goal was to go beyond theory and actually ship a product that could grow, evolve, and test our capabilities in the open.

The Solution

We launched our own meme coin: Roaring Pepe.

Inspired by the cultural overlap between Roaring Kitty's long-awaited comeback and the eternal appeal of Pepe the Frog, we built a token that captured the chaotic fun of memecoins while giving us a platform to experiment. It started as a lighthearted test, but quickly became something much bigger.

What We Built

PFP Builder → NFT → NFT Customiser
Started as a simple avatar generator and evolved into a full NFT mint with customisation features.

RoaringPepeAI Agent
An AI agent that posted daily tweets inspired by Roaring Kitty's trading logic and Pepe's mischievous tone.

Downloadable tools for holders
Including social overlays, X banners, and an AI video generator integrated with Solana payments.

Web3 tools for other communities
Built mini-games and utilities for partner projects like Chumpz and Rebel Ants, including mint eligibility checkers and ecommerce shops with token-based reward systems.

The Results

  • Proven capability in blockchain development, AI agents, and Solana integration
  • Built real relationships with founders, DAO contributors, and web3 builders
  • Featured multiple times, including by notable web3 media
  • Multiple viral tweets and organic growth across crypto Twitter
  • Listed on CoinMarketCap and other major platforms
  • Recognised by WallStreetBets with community shoutouts

Why It Matters

Roaring Pepe wasn't about jumping on a trend. It was about building something real that let us move fast, learn fast, and push our limits.

We gained practical, hands-on experience in tokenomics, user onboarding, community dynamics, smart contracts, and payment rails, all while growing a product in the open.

For us, this wasn't just a meme coin. It was our on-chain test lab. It proved we could deliver full-stack web3 products, with the design, polish, and tech depth clients expect from us.
